Tonight, the US military will be conducting a training exercise in northeast Pasadena until 1:00 a.m. During this time may hear limited helicopter activity, controlled explosions, and simulated weapons fire. Pasadena Police will be assisting with pedestrian and vehicle safety in the immediate area. This event is not open to the public or media. NEW: Instagram is notifying victims of the massive hacking campaign that relied on asking the Meta AI support chatbot to hand over control of accounts.
It appears that the hacks continued on Tuesday, even though an Instagram spokesperson said on Monday that “the issue has already been fixed.”
Worth listening to this 404 Media podcast about this hacking campaign. Really explains well just how crazy this hacking campaign is, and how bad it is in the context of having AI do sensitive stuff.

Estoy leyendo lo de que Evilhat va a dejar de usar FATE y parece que es su fin. Lo de siempre, todo tiene que estar alrededor de una editorial.
Que es el rol no son solo las editoriales, que un juego no muere porque lo dejen de editar.
Seguramente le va a ir mejor como sistema huerfano, que siendo el sistema de cabecera de una editorial donde llevaba años languideciendo.
A Ars Magica le ha pasado exactamente lo mismo, pero como lo ha cogido otra editorial usando la licencia CC, ya no está perdido.

I found out my employer doesn’t have access to Mythos. I do.
Mythos is not great btw. Running it over a bunch of code, it’s similar findings to tools from a few years ago. It’s marketing, essentially. Viral marketing as people doing the marketing are companies and governments.
It’s really good at finding vulns in vibe coded stuff from Claude.. because apparently AI must be both the cause and solution to all life’s problems, like beer.
