The media coverage of Celebrity Traitors & the desire to see the programme as indicative of the Zeitgeist as well the gulf in trust between politicians & celebrities is all very well but perhaps more than anything else reveals the self-obsession of the media with itself;
the pages spent discussing & analysing CT could have been spent on real news - but that of course would require (more) expensive actual reporting & investigations... whereas this only requires an armchair & a TV

Weird to see Sky News, owned by Rupert Murdoch who has no formal authority in the UK but uses his newspapers to control narratives and push right wing content and politicians he favors, complain that Elon Musk has no formal authority in the UK and yet has the power to control narratives and push right-wing content, extreme content, and politicians Musk favors.
