@thisismissem The current implementation is a bit naive, but the idea is that when some document doesn't conform it will throw an error yes.
When I built this library, Zod didn't exist, but if I had to rebuild it now I would probably just use Zod for defining the schema.
@thisismissem And technically, the repository is already decoupled from the storage by changing the engine. For example, there is an IndexedDBEngine that stores data locally, and a SolidEngine that stores data in a POD. I guess you could potentially implement an ActivityPubEngine as well. You just have to implement this interface: https://github.com/NoelDeMartin/soukai/blob/main/packages/soukai/src/engines/Engine.ts
Imagine having a billion dollars and wasting your time doing anything other than:
1. Reading novels in the bath
2. Making art
3. Traveling
4. Cooking and eating
5. Giving heaps of cash to awesome people and institutions who need it
RE: https://aoir.social/@aram/115647818285155477
@aram I'm ever so far from being a millionaire but I just spent so long reading a novel in the bath that I only found out what time it was when my partner came in to brush her teeth.
The rest of the list is awesome too.
@700Sachen im Ofen gegrilltes Gemüse?
Serious note. I am working on a knowledge transfer project - 15 years of it.
Work journals are worth it. This has saved me so much time.
Decide on a structure - Obsidian. Bear. Markdown. Notepad++, audio recordings. Whatever the medium and pattern, just stick with it.
Sometimes I would get annoyed, and just write curse words and include screenshots and titles like "Zendesk Primrose Hell", but in the end, all of it was useful.
@box464 YES! Moving all my work notes to obsidian was the best thing I have ever done as a freelancer. I have a single journal folder and everything I do in a day gets noted and tagged so that it can then be referred back to whenever I need it. Makes everything easier. It also meant I could cancel a couple of other paid services and save some money (a time tracking app for example).
It's made me passionate not just about Obsidian and PKM techniques for work, but also on other walks of life too.
if congress cared they'd have their aides working on making scraping at scale (especially to the point of introducing a ddos) illegal https://wetdry.world/@infinitysnapz/115648007339060663 i could help i would love to help i hate the CFAA and think it'd be difficult but it's very clearly become a problem when you can just destroy a competitor's web presence with residential IPs
Somebody should automate the process of using a free account from residential proxy provider A to register free accounts with residential proxy provider B and vice versa, and then use those accounts to nuke their sites offline, be it by traffic volume or by AWS billing volume.
Oh hey, they're selling the Lament Configuration from Hellraiser on Aliexpress. That seems like a fun and wise thing to purchase!
“This [Bradley giving a no quarter order on his own initiative] seems implausible. Bradley is an experienced officer who by virtue of his rank and position would be intimately familiar with the laws of armed conflict. He would have to know that such an order is likely a war crime, and any senior officer would want civilian leadership to sign off on an order with such potentially immense consequences, especially on the very first strike.” https://mastodon.social/@shoq/115646994233732930
So you plan to thaw out your 20 kg solid block of frozen tofurkey in the microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds.

Yes, @northwesternu, go hide in shame. You realize that no one will want to give you money to turn around and give it to Donald Trump. My alma mater is dead to me.
@jeffjarvis UVA alum here. Same. As soon as they forced out Jim Ryan, it was over.
i will never boost a timnit gebru post because i remember that time i was called a nazi and got insta-blocked when i didn't have a position that aligned 100% with hers
(or at least that's how I remember it, I do remember fr sure it felt unfair and that I only got one post in, and that it was about my seeing antisemitism as separate from wishing the state of israel was gone or something)
just a PSA, she's kinda a piece of shit or was in that interaction
Someone at work just replied back to an email as if they're an LLM, including the classic opening line of "Thanks for the clarification," ye olde "My intention at this stage is..." and finishing up with "let me know how you would like to proceed". And of course em-dashes were included which was the dead giveaway.
The email chain isn't too complicated - I simply said "don't send that file to the client because it's old & outdated" and I got the AI-generated response - IMO it didn't warrant the need to give instructions into an LLM. I'm trying to put names to the feelings that I'm feeling right now. Insulted? Disappointed? I certainly feel disconnected (from the sender) as a result.
Ugh. It's an ugly feeling. I work in technology but I don't want to throw away the human interaction, teamwork and relationship building that comes with it.
Costco sues the Trump administration, seeking a refund of tariffs. The wholesaler is the latest company to sue a federal agency over the president's signature economic policy.

It is #FreeBSD #Release day. Welcome to the world FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE https://www.freebsd.org/releases/15.0R/announce/
the nostalgia cycle is like thirty years so in a few years we're gonna have reactionary assholes talking about how much better society was in the 2000s
@Taweret curious how 9/11 will be handled (badly)
Also, the changes to the Oakland Encampment Management policy are finally coming up for a vote before the Oakland city council, so I have to go down there tomorrow evening for a show of force. Frankly, I would rather be doing karaoke.
@oysta “because we’re going to charge you for the features we think you want to use (AI)”
Everybody: lolno not using AI, definitely not paying for it
@mike so good. I bought a BTO one with 16 gigarams for Bec and it’s still a solid workhorse for embedded dev work too
Ultimately, I believe our time is better spent making something other than money.
Money is part of the system we should leave behind.
I don't know what resource allocation will look like in the future, but I do know that we'll figure something out without a block chain.
