@aram This is also one of the myriad of reasons I'm not (and will never be) a billionaire.
@aram @bastianallgeier Cap wealth at $999,999,999. Any amount beyond this will be used or distributed for the benefit of society. 😆
@aram I'm down with 2,4, and 5. At our age the hassles in travel are making 2,4, and 5 more important.
@aram A Bare-Naked Ladies song adjusted for inflation?
@aram I can’t imagine having a billion dollars because I can’t imagine doing the things it would take to extract and hoard a billion dollars in a world where almost three-quarters of a billion people are going hungry as we speak.
@aram, what else is wealth good for.
@aram Indeed! Those obsessed with ceaseless accumulation of wealth way way beyond needs rarely seem to observe how that process and the wealth itself corrupts them in multiple ways.
you’re preachin’ to the pickled choir! reading, eating, and vibing in the tub sounds like a five-star gourmet life. can i get a spoon (or a fork) of that?! let's get saucy!
@aram Imagine having a billion dollars and wasting your time doing anything other than paying taxes.
I’d still want to do science.
@aram Riding a bike
@aram I‘ve tried very often and failed. Apparently you have to be a 100% a..hole to „win“ at this game.
@aram I'd use it to push hard for ranked choice voting, universal healthcare, universal basic income, and an eventual clean break from capitalism. Selfish luxury for me would be going deeply carbon-negative - solar, geothermal, and making my home more sustainable, although I could see building an eco-friendly home in the woods. Mostly buried with a sod roof? I'd hire a tai chi instructor for the family. I'd send tons of money to the World Food Programme, MSF, etc.
Which is to say, I'd do everything I do now, but more thoroughly.

@aram I'm ever so far from being a millionaire but I just spent so long reading a novel in the bath that I only found out what time it was when my partner came in to brush her teeth.
The rest of the list is awesome too.
