Y'all, let's talk about #WAZE. It is blowing up on the socials because someone read the #TOS. This happens every couple of years. The terms everyone is freaking out about is that the app, even though owned by #google, is protected by #Israel's laws, not #US. But only for #Americans. The #EU app doesn't have that provision.
The US provision has been there since 2008. What should be of more concern is that it was founded by members of #8200, and it is possibly the largest continuously updating surveillance database in the world.
Researchers say that it is still possible to identify and track users of the platform via api interception. (I have not verified.)
I wouldn't install it. Your risk acceptance level may be different. But the TOS hasn't changed. They've always been #Israeli crowdsourced #surveillance.
