🧵🇺🇦 Day 1 Kyiv: Stolen Innocence at the Feet of Kyiv’s Protector🧸
🌅This morning is my first day volunteering in #Kyiv — my fifth time here. Kyiv is #Ukraine ‘s largest city with a population of nearly 3 million people. I stopped by Independence Square as I always do. But today felt different.
🕯️At the foot of St. Michael’s, I found a new memorial of teddy bears and children’s toys not too far from the memorial for the fallen defenders. Every visit brings me face‑to‑face with the reality of an

ongoing war and the deliberate, indiscriminate daily attacks on civilian areas and infrastructure—not just here in the capital, but throughout the country.
🚨These are war crimes.
➡️ I will always share the culture and beauty of the places where I volunteer, but I must also show the undeniable truth that mainstream media often misses and social media algorithms actively suppress.
