#RSF group agrees to #humanitarian #truce

The Rapid Support Force, a paramilitary group that has been at #war with the #Sudan military for >2yrs, said Thurs it has agreed to a humanitarian truce that was proposed by US-led mediator group, also known as the #Quad.

RSF’s agreement to the proposal comes over a week after the group murderously seized #elFasher city that has been under siege for >18 months. It was the last Sudanese military stronghold in the Darfur region.

#GlobalSumudFlotilla organizers said in a Telegram post that 30 remaining boats in the flotilla are still heading to #Gaza & are within 46 nautical miles of the enclave.

#Israel, which has a longstanding blockade on Gaza, began intercepting vessels when the group's boats reached 70 nautical miles offshore. So far, 13 vessels have been stopped by the Israeli navy & the people on board were *transferred to an Israeli port*.

The flotilla is still aiming to deliver #humanitarian #aid to Gaza.

Before arriving, I had sent CAT 7 tourniquets⛑️ from the U.S. to support those on the frontline, and helped connect the foundation with an organization donating pet food.🐾
