Seems #2a 'right to bear arms' was never about #freedom but about #authoritarianism and enforcing THEIR notions.
Had a bit of free time today and finally took a closer look at the Democratic Socialists of America 🌹. As far as I've seen there's no other US org with their kind of commitment to challenging capitalism, certainly nothing of their size and visibility. It's been on my mind to join up. I'm not sure what I can do from rural #Missouri... it's Red but the wrong kind of Red. 😆

A part of defending our freedom has to be that we actively defend our personal privacy and in doing that we're also defending privacy for all.
Push back against their efforts to track you and control you. Make an active effort to confound their ability to know where you are and what you're doing.
Sabotage their surveillance of you.

As the year closes I've made a lot of progress in recovering my online #privacy. I'm under no illusion that I've achieved complete anonymity online but nor am I cooperating with the full-time corporate/government #surveillance and invasive data collection that I was allowing previously. I see no reason to disrespect myself in that way nor a reason to give them an inch.
Protecting our privacy is the same as defending our #freedom, there is no end to the process.

A few days into my e/os experiment and I can now understand why Google wants to stop custom roms...
I expected it to be the lesser experience, but actually it feels like the better Android to me.
Raw numbers are perhaps not enough to get across just how bad the centralisation of the Fediverse by mastodon.social is. I've done a chart to show this visually, hopefully this will make the situation clearer?
Given the circumstances, getting people to join other servers except mastodon.social would greatly help decentralise the Fediverse. It's no longer big vs medium vs small, it's more like supergiant deathstar mastodon.social vs everyone else 😞
@FediGarden I joined @devol because was a locale (italian) instance and because their alleged care of #freedom . Then I was kicked out just because my opinion was different from their main stream one promoting #antisemitism. Then I chosed #mastodon.social... Stilo looking forma something really #free.
