@randahl Please help me, please. I'm sorry, I can't help. Please quote me. 🙏🏼🩷

@randahl Wind is a loser because he cannot make money off of it.
@randahl Trump will defame and/or persecute:
- anything he doesn't control
- anything that doesn't enrich him and his oligarch bros
- anyone who doesn't look like they fit his Arian supremacy profile
- anyone who doesn't agree with him
- anyone who criticizes him
Oh Donnie boy,
Your Arian eyes are smiling ...
(with no mall intent towards the heritage from which the original song and lyrics were adapted)
@randahl - just FYI, Canada is not far behind Agent Orange’s attitude towards sustainable energy thru things like wind farms. The province of Ontario shut down construction of wind farms, while Alberta banned them (and solar farms) entirely, despite both having environments that are excellent for both. Instead, they and the federal government want to promote mini-nuclear and the burning of gas and oil for electricity.
@randahl but a majority voted him in
The fossil fuel industry takes $3 billion in profits out of local economies PER DAY.
The largest wealth transfer in history going to murderous petrostate despots like #PrinceBonesaw & Putin
Imagine what that wealth could have been used for instead.
Cures for disease. Eliminating poverty & famine.
Instead, it's wealth sitting in a kleptocrat's bank account.

@randahl Mostly true. But is it always windy?
Good thing your friendly neighbours can bail you out at times.

@randahl You should add that this makes Denmark's energy a lot cheaper too...
@randahl Wind turbines are on the same level as the invention of the wheel and the taming of fire, nothing less. If you refuse to see this, you will end up extinct. #sustainability #climatechange
@maupuo I agree. But Trump will not end up extinct. Republicans will let Europeans carry all the early innovation costs for decades while they burn cheap fossil fuel. Then, when Europe has paid these costs, the US will order wind turbines at much lower prices.
I believe, this will be the source of intense international conflict in the coming years.
@randahl Maybe! The US insists on old technology, which by the way is not cheap at all (only the necessary infrastructure is insane, let alone the rest). At the same time, renewable energies become cheaper and cheaper (and they NEVER run out). The price of all this will be influenced by geopolitics, hopefully peaceful. The US and Russia (only the governments!) are simply being stupid. They see short-term gain, but in the long run, they’ll be left behind. #sustainability #climatechange
Congratulations Denmark, in my opinion you are on the right track when it comes to renewable energy.
Here in Germany, we still have a lot of catching up to do, and our current government is proving to be particularly incompetent.
As for the Americans, I would argue that if the citizens really wanted to, they would have driven this clown out of the circus ring long ago. But they haven't.
Have a nice Sunday.
@randahl Thanks for sharing!
I notice though that this looks like a snapshot of the distribution right now, not the average consumption.
So it might be a windy moment?
I couldn't immediately find data on their site about % of MWh over a period, would be curious to know what the actual share of renewables is.
@jgivoni That is correct. This was a momentary situation.
On a yearly bassis, wind delivers around 59 percent of all power in Denmark, with less in the summer and more in the winter. This is still way ahead of the world average of 40 percent.
@randahl No solar cells? Probably just not at grand scale for public distribution I'd assume, only localized single house use which aren't counted in this statistic.
Remember that deranged nonsense #Trump spewed out about #renewables in #Germany?
Actually prices were going *down* due to cheap #wind and #solar #energy.
Even conservative counties are "keen on green", because they get to participate in the local energy production earnings.
