These Lost Tanks stand rusted in place in western #Germany, inside a 220-hectare area that once served as an armed forces training ground. The tanks were used as hard targets for artillery practice, but this area of the forest is now a protected nature reserve.

Some tanks sit in wet pasture where ponds have formed in old track marks. Others rest among the mixed spruce, pine and beech forest.

💉👩⚕️🏥Step inside Dr Anna’s Haus, once the medical practice and residence of a small-town surgeon in Germany.

The lower floors once functioned as a surgery, with an operating room, gynecological chair, examination light and a small library. Medicine bottles and medical tools remain in place.

The upper levels served as the doctors’ residence. A Steinway piano still stands, its room tinted pink by curtains. Sheet music lies scattered across the floor.
