Lately I tried PeerTube and Loops both but they kinda suck compared to TikTok.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the reasons they do. As well as the fact that by using them I help them grow.
Starting a federated, open source alternative to a major proprietary service is nearly impossible, isn't it.
Makes me even happier for Mastodon being a viable alternative to Twitter.

@dansup The mobile app is pretty darn cool! But my issue is with the lack of content
I still want to browse Loops a bit more to see if there is content for me
I also didn't like the fact that lots of content viral on competing proprietary platforms (TikTok, Insta Reels) is reposted by some random accounts because the original accounts are not on Loops
This is the same problem but I would just like to be able to press like and boost to support the original creator and not the reposter.
@hardpenguin13 ah I understand, some original creators have joined Loops, but there are a few reposters.
