My apologies for the Loops profile crash bug, the root cause was trivial, empty bios and an undefined button theme.
While embarrassing, I'm going to take this opportunity to share what I'm doing to prevent this:
- better prop validation
- error boundaries
- and more thorough testing
Building in public means learning in public!
@dansup what would be great, not sure if the changes have to be on #loops or on #mastodon and #pixelfed side (I guess changes need to be done on all sides) that a shared loops video could be played directly in Mastodon and Pixelfed.
I shared this link directly from the loops app... but it uses a picture for sharing...
Loops Admins: I added more stats and graphs
The engagement metrics now includes bookmarks + comment/commentReply shares too!
One more thing, I also added a trending hashtag algorithm to improve that section, it uses # of recent uses + interactions to determine the trending score.

Loops now shows an update banner, and sends an email to the admin when a new version release is available ✨

Keeping your Loops server updated is important.
Just imagine how nice it would be for you, the admin, to get a notification when there is a new update available, as well as showing a big banner in the admin dashboard.
It would be pretty nice indeed. Stay tuned, I have some big admin dashboard improvements on the way 👀
