@petersuber during the Harper era, AAFC's research centre's library here was emptied. There was a photo in the news of a garbage bin full of books. Many scientists saved a lot of the books from this library. When I arrived here, I received a shelf-full of statistics texts, which were rescued by a French graduate student. I am concerned that electronic publications of peer-reviewed science will disappear when publishers go bankrupt. Or they will be edited by fascists. We need many copies, formats
