The House Energy and Commerce Committee just had a hearing on a whopping 19 bills that they're considering for a "child safety" package.
As you might imagine, it was a total mess. Their logic for wanting to pass these bills was basically 1: "We assume all adults who talk to minors or distribute adult content are sexual predators!" + 2: "We need to stop kids and teens from getting unapproved™ ideas! Free thinking/autonomy scares us!"
Considering their intense desire to pass something and move on, it's more important then ever to call your Senators and Representatives! Especially if they're on the relevant committees!
