Lots of catkins on the Hazel trees around here now. Most still aren't properly open but a few at Jubilee Lake in Royal Wootton Bassett were in full flower already. #WildflowerHour #Wiltshire #Bloomscrolling #botany #plants #flowers #wildflowers #photography
Felt like I searched every Hazel with male catkins yesterday looking for a female flower. Eventually found literally one in the whole park (Jubilee Lake in Royal Wootton Bassett). Day 4 of the 2025 #dragonfly #AdventCalendar. An immature Black-tailed Skimmer settling in to roost at the wonderful #Wiltshire #WildlifeTrust reserve at #LowerMoor Farm in early June.
