Today was a low energy day for me.
I did make time to go watch KPop Demon Hunters with my daughter. I was surprised at how much fun it was. It was hard to keep my feet still. They wanted to move with the music.
I had a spirited conversation with two grandkids and one of their girlfriends about canceling Disney+ and Hulu. They will help me to take care of the canceling. They did casually mention that we are the most woke old folks they know.
A nice compliment.
At home I wrote some letters and made a new sign for some early morning protesting tomorrow.
The dahlias are from my daughter's front yard.

Once again, it's dahlia time!

Swaying in the sunlight, tendrils of Spanish moss are ruffled by a light sea marsh breeze. Fun fact: This air grown plant is not actually a moss, but rather a bromeliad and relative of the pineapple.

We’ve got this sweet little patch of adorable miniature Asters just inside our deer-fenced garden gate. Had to share. #Oregon #SouthernOregon #PNW #gardening #BloomScrolling

15 years ago I planted a tree which grew rapidly upwards but not outwards. It grew side branches from close to the base making it a leafy cylinder which rises to about 5 m. 5 years later I planted an old climbing #rose next the tree. The rose is not hydridised and only produces one flush of single flowers each year.
It found my tree and climbed all the way to the top
Now each year we have white flowers popping out all the way up the tree

Pollinator pollinating.
One of the things I found fun about shooting this way was what happens to flowers up close. You can clearly see the tops of the stamen, but then it blurs further back, only to clear up again as the petals come forward

Another cool effect, especially for long bunches of flowers like this, is that they seems to fade in an out of reality in an interesting foggy way
