The Director Joe Dante admits in the commentary track that he was not really good at blocking yet, so he tried to compensate with shorter cuts so the audience didn't notice. 🤷♂️

🎃 Make-up lead Rob Bottin was tasked with "the most incredible transformations ever filmed" and sculpted ten separate transitional heads for Robert Picardo to get it right.
