Okay, it's time . All I can say looking at these numbers is that you all have surpassed expectations so far it's hard to believe! I'm not gonna' lie, I cried a couple times reading these numbers.
Last year the total was about $2600.00.
This year... The grand total with the donation match from @paco @steggy and others, is so far over that it's hard to believe.
#MonsterdonSavesChristmas brought in a mind blowing $12,321.26 for charity this year!

@klu9 sure but like I wish there were just a “monsterdonbot at botsin dot space” that just posted every week, “ #Monsterdon begins in 1 hour, the movie is X.” Then one could follow it and turn on notifications for new posts.
@Thomas One of the things that I find inconvenient about the other watch parties is that they aren’t announced from a central account. So you can’t follow one account and turn on notifications for it. You have to remember that it’s happening, or be scrolling Mastodon already to see that it’s about to start.

@Thomas When I’ve brought this up to other organizers, they’ve dismissed this as a silly concern, because there is some account with a link in their bio to a huge Google Sheet with every watch party listed in it, and they believe that should be adequate.
