I’ve got some distortion and hum to clean up when I build this for real, but my first test circuit of two germanium PNP transistor amplifier works! This is an MP39 into a beefy P214G. I based it on a circuit from MIT but then had to do quite a lot of fiddling because I have MP39s and not the two different ones they used. #Electronics #diy_electronics

My #DIY portable CD player.

A CD player built from a computer CD drive, TV speakers, a small car amplifier, a "small" lead-acid battery, and a bunch of cables taped together. And a David Guetta CD.

I'm looking for recommendations for where to get a PCB made for a prototype. I'm in the US, and on a budget

Is there such a thing as an affordable ~7" (200mm) wide monochrome LCD display module? I suppose I can do color instead

I'm working on a connector design to use a piece of FR4 copper clad as the power connector on an HP power supply (it has a card edge exposed). This should give a large contact surface area vs the bolts I see people drilling through these. Plus, it's removable. The slots are for soldering power wires to the copper clad in place. The wires will come out the top. If this works, I'll add a fuse block on the side that takes automotive blade-type fuses. #diy_electronics #electronics

A 3D model of a plastic connector to be printed. Fits Hewlett Packard ~12.8V server power supplies.
