I was at #Costco today. Absolutely packed, even though it was late morning on an ordinary Tuesday. I will be happy when they build the second one we're supposed to be getting.

And out of the hundreds and hundreds of customers, and dozens and dozens of staff I saw, I spotted ... zero people wearing masks of any sort. I was the only one.

Lots of people coughing and sneezing and moaning about being sick, with a brutal flu going round, *and* another mystery virus, along with COVID of course.

FFS. It was the same the other day at my doctor's office. No one wearing a mask.

I think humanity - at least the North American varieties - is waving a big "Hey, viruses, we give up" sign.

I'm looking for an N95 mask with no metal but with an exhale valve for my spouse to wear at his warehouse job. He's been wearing 3M 8210V religiously since 2020 to keep from bringing Covid home to me, but his employer is reinstating the use of metal detectors and if the metal staples used to attach the straps set it off, I'm pretty sure he's going to punch out anyone trying to remove his mask.

Suggestions? Boosts appreciated!

Receipt-checker: trying not to show fear & step back. *Trying*.

I just walked on chuckling to myself (because my humor has gotten so dark) instead of

*flailing Kermit arms & yelling:* "The people *NOT!!* wearing an #N95 #mask are the ones you should be afraid of!

Considering all of the fuckery around COVID vaccines that's happening I'm wondering if I should get a Flo Mask, since I'm clearly not going to be able to stop wearing a mask for years more to come. My preferred mask is a 3M Aura mask. Do you have experience with both? How do they compare? Do you like your Flo Mask? Would love to hear from folks who have used Flo Masks, even if they did not enjoy the experience.
