#Sunrise #Iowa #amanecer

This photo of yesterday’s sunrise pairs well with the one from Sunday (thread). I’m also slipping this in for #ThickTrunkTuesday. The sycamore on the left and the river birch on the right have grown A LOT in the 32 years since I planted them.

A multi-colored sky just before sunrise — seen through the dark, leafless branches of trees in the yard.

35 minutes before sunrise. Orange light along the horizon, gray-blue skies above. The sky is the background for various trees in silhouette. Left to right: tall sycamore, small vase-shaped redbud, three-trunked river birch.

🎵 It’s another sycamore sunrise…🎵

The rising sun, orange in color, is peeking through the leaves on the lower branches of a stout sycamore tree. The lowest branches of the tree reach gracefully downward and almost touch the grass below. Some leaves are dark in shadow while others are illuminating by the morning light.
