1/2 🌅🇺🇦 Odesa #Sunrise | Before the Work Begins

It’s my first day of humanitarian volunteering in #Odesa. I got up early to catch the sunrise before the work begins.

In every city and village I visit, I see Ukrainians striving to live with dignity and normalcy—even under daily attacks. That is a profound form of defiance, a refusal to surrender to terrorism. But let’s be clear: Russia’s targeting of civilians is a grave violation of international law. The cost is real. The trauma is daily.

🌅🇺🇦 It’s sunrise in Lviv, and I’m heading to my next destination: Odesa. This will be my first time volunteering with a small, community-led Ukrainian humanitarian group there, and I’m honored to join their work. I’ll be sure to share updates from the ground.

You might know that I'm not that much a #sunrise / #sunset person. But that day we hiked to the summit for a sunrise. Unfortunately it was very cloudy and rainy. - For sure not what we all had expected.

BUT this #photo was a surprise and reward at the same time. - And a great memory.
