Last post of the year: In a lot of ways naïve #AI boosterism resembles (and is down stream of) commodity fetishism and market fundamentalism. All of these are modes of thinking that erase deeper context of how a system works.

Regarding the last boost: Google has been found to be an illegal monopoly multiple times, and so far no judge has had the courage to impose a significant enough penalty that Google actually changes its ways. Its monopoly behavior is frequent, obvious, and damaging.
Anyway, check your Google Drive, if you use that: go to drive, then click the gear. Choose Settings -> Manage Apps, and make sue "Use by default" is checked OFF on everything you don't like, especially Gemini (Google's AI that they're pushing on everyone). This was added and turned on by default for most people, it seems.

I otherwise like Aegean Airlines but their "40% discount for children" is a scam and a #darkpattern and I finally got sufficiently pissed off I’m going to expose it.
tl;dr: The "40% off" is based on a fake fare, artificially inflated so it can then be discounted. The effective discount is 14% for 1 adult + 1 child, 0% for 2 adults + 1 child, and the fare actually *increases* for adult:children ratios > 2:1 with no opt-out.
