★ changing the OS to #Linux 🐧 , with least prepackaged disros.
★ using @signalapp instead of #WhatsApp.
★ using Telegram & @Mastodon for publication of our content

Currently, we are looking forward for finding ways to support our efforts locally in Iraq to popularize #FOSS for everyone (no matter how much tech experience has)

Decided to switch to @Tutanota today after trying a few different services out.

I give Gmail the slowest possible treatment🐌 🐢 —if I respond at all.

A few years ago, I reached my breaking point with Gmail’s escalating privacy issues and chose to stop replying to Gmail addresses entirely. At first, it felt a bit harsh, but I soon realized: if people genuinely need to reach you, they’ll find another way. And indeed, they have.

Now, I only respond to emails from providers that respect privacy. Gmail users either wait weeks for a reply—or switch to services like ProtonMail or Tutanota once they notice their messages go unanswered. It may sound strict, but this approach has surprisingly encouraged better digital habits around me.

Has anyone else tried refusing Gmail emails as a quiet protest against data mining?

There's quite a major BUG going on with pasting images from the clipboard.

You write an email on the web interface, you paste an image from the clipboard, it appears as "image.png". You keep writing the email you past another image, it appears again a second image.png file in the email attachments list and on the email body as the actual image.

You then hit send, the email you send has none of those images, despite them being in the email body and on the attachment list.

Ich habe momentan den Premium-Tarif, den es offiziell nicht mehr gibt, da kann ich insgesamt nur eine einzige Signatur für alle Adressen verwenden und auch nur eine einzige eigene Domain hinzufügen.
Da ich inzwischen mehrere Domains habe, reicht mir dieser Tarif nicht mehr aus. Bevor ich jedoch zu einem anderen Anbieter wechsle, informiere ich mich HIER über einen größeren Tarif von euch, da es auf eurer Website leider viel zu wenige Informationen gibt.
Euer Forum in Reddit einzurichten ist auch eine sehr fragwürdige Entscheidung in Bezug auf Big Tech, Datenschutz und Privatsphäre.

Wenn ich Revolutionary buche, kann ich dann jeder E-Mail-Adresse, Aliase und Domain jeweils eine eigene Signatur hinzufügen?
Wenn ich auf Tarif Upgrade gehe, zeigt es mir lediglich eine jährliche Vertragslaufzeit an. Wenn ich ohne Anmeldung auf die Seite gehe, kann ich auch monatliche Vertragslaufzeit auswählen. Warum nicht als Bestandskunde?

One thing I have learned about #TutaNota is that there are a lot of things you only use on occasion, but will suddenly realize are crippling at some point after you've been using it for a while and fully into moving yourself over. One thing is the inability to find stuff. Search only goes back 30 days on free version, and this is NOT MENTIONED anywhere on the feature comparisons page. There is no sorting by columns, like date or sender. Filtering simply doesn't work.

So I joined in a mailing action, mailing members of the EU parliament in order to get them to vote against encryption backdoors.

Now it seems that @Tutanota blocked my account, probably because it sees me as a spammer now.

Maybe it's not the right email provider for me after all, when they're so trigger happy with the ban-button, which is rather disappointing as it's one of the few that promises real privacy.

If you're on Tuta and you want to invite lots of people to your party, you'll have to send every guest a separate email, or else risk a lock out.
