@piccalilli My (admittedly cynical) assumption is that they will still hoover up anything they can find on your site, they’re just no longer showing it to anyone outside Google.
This is the Web of the 1990s and, to some degree, the early 2000s — that some of us experienced and remember.
The Web that some of us want to make a come back.
👀 Is there a usable and private #SearchEngine which has some kind of filter or at least some feature to tackle #AI crap content flooding the net? Can be a paid service.
I am SO SICK of all search results with at least the half of the sites being #SEO caused AI shit sites only existing to generate income by featuring ads. 😮💨
I know about #MetaGer and #Kagi but both don't really seem to fit the bill... 🤔

Another website update is adding support for the #SEO meta tag `fediverse:creator` which hopefully should add a byline linking my #Fediverse account whenever a link to my blog is shared.
This is a cool feature, and at least supported by #Mastodon but hopefully soon other clients too.
