In the 12 months through June 2025, over 15GW worth of solar panels were imported. This wave is happening across the continent: 20 countries have set new import records.

Sierra Leone imported enough solar panels in one year to make up 65% of their entire nation's generating capacity.

The ruling class know that change is coming. Whatever disinformation they profess publicly, they know that #climate change is going to create a lot of disruption. This is why they have been busy installing the surveillance state, passing anti-protest laws, trying to make border enforcement much stricter and so on. They are trying to lock stuff down so that they can remain in power in the dark future which they foresee, and try to turn disaster into strategic advantage.

When coastal cities go underwater and arid conditions make it no longer possible to grow crops in certain areas, there are going to be migrations across the globe bigger than any before seen in history. To some degree this is already occurring, but much more is on the way.
