I found a zero day in a security vendor's firewall software that allows you to remotely crash the entire system by sending it a single malicious packet. Since the firewall is responsible for inspecting traffic prior to the operating system handling it, no ports even need to be open for it to work.

Jotain hyvää tässä kai on, että tämä sanotaan nyt yrittähien taholtakin ääneen, vaikka tuntuu, että asian ääneen sanominenkin sattuu. Lisää autoja, ei tarkoita lisää rahaa yritysten kassaan: "Lisääntyvä autoliikenne ei tuo U26 Shopille lisää asiakkaita, Aija Lundahl arvioi. Valtaosa asiakkaista on hänen mukaansa turisteja, jotka eivät liiku omalla autolla.

Excellent, thoughtful thread about how even many of us getting by quite well are doing so within a system that is doing its best to see that we don't. We are not as well as we *could be* and .. that's not our fault, but it's something we still have to navigate responsibly and not make worse for anyone else.

It's about LLMs/"AI" but also about much more.

Continuously variable speed, direction control, torque settings, and for those particularly tricky Pavlovas, a hammer mode.

I have an hard processing all of that. I fully agree with you on the structural aspect of it and not the worker fault.

The line gets blurry when we talk about "influencers" (are they workers? Like some president are we all influencers gambling now?), "our industry leaders" that should know how to test a product before injecting it everywhere. Even if we have a system on one end it seems some are dodging any kind of responsibility and putting it on "us".
