So happy to have captured this — my best astro photo to date. This is, of course, the Andromeda Galaxy, our nearest galactic neighbor at a stone’s throw of 2.5 million light years away. You can also see M110 and M32, its two brightest satellite galaxies (out of a whopping 35 dwarf galaxies orbiting around it). Shot with a Dwarf 3 telescope under a starry Idaho night sky, which was stunning even with the naked eye.

Saw some guy yesterday just walking down the street carrying a big stick like a staff, and since I knew immediately what was up I rolled up to him and said, "Hey, guy! That's a great stick!" and he said "Right!?!?" like that was the best thing anyone had said to him in a week.
Men only want one thing, it's the recognition of their peers when they've found a cool stick.

@dansup I love the idea and I've put no thought into this, but my first reaction is some percent or perhaps a fixed price should go to the instance host. This could be super appealing to creators if the percent they keep is higher than other platforms. They may push their audience to fedi platforms for the better payout

I especially liked your "The Dream of Tomorrow" you posted recently. I've regularly said it is important to have positive and uplifting messages passing our timelines, despite the dark times we live in. Too often when I wake in the morning and browse the fedi microblog, I am faced with one big doomscroll that saps my energy before the day has even started. Activists regurgitating to other activists the problems we already know about a 1,000 times over. It is deflating and self-defeating.
We should talk more about solutions, about can-do things, initiatives to join, ways to cocreate together. We should *dream* more, and take inspiration from them. Together we can move mountains!

I hope not to have someone following me, who thinks that all smart glasses users should be listed into sex offenders register.
Reasoning this way, I could wish that every man claiming himself as heterosexual, should be into sex offender list if his body includes hands, voice, tongue, eyes, penis.
How would it sound? Exaggerated, right? Extreme? Yes, it is.
But if the smart glasses users would be registered as sex offenders, even for us blind people could be a disaster. Even without having sexually harassed anyone.

I don’t see why not. Unless the atheist is working towards making religion illegal or one of the others is working towards forceful conversion of the others. What do you see as directly incompatible goals for them?

This refers to history, not to the goals of either. There may be psychological reasons that would make cooperation hard.

I’d say this one is simpler. One is advocating for killing the other. That’s pretty much the definition of an incompatible goal.

Nobody is purely black or white. Just by working together on something neutral you do not endorse each others views at the same time.
I prefer the forgiveness concepts (poor soul should be shown a good example to follow) over shunning.
