Est-ce quelqu'un·e sait ce que ça fait concrètement pour Spotify si je l'utilise sur navigateur avec uBlock Origin ? Est-ce que pour eux j'ai quand même visualisé la pub et du coup ils ont l'impression que je les soutiens et ils se font quand même de la thune ?

Pareil, est-ce que l'utilisation de clients libre (sans pubs) pour streamer Spotify ça leur génère des revenus ? Est-ce qu'il y a une différence entre ceux qui sont connectés à ton compte Spotify (genre Spotube) et ceux qui sont anonymes/sans compte ?

Les alternatives de streaming musical sont actuellement trop restreintes, du coup j'aimerais voir si c'est possible de contourner le système et d'utiliser Spotify sans les soutenir d'une manière ou d'une autre.

My partner want to migrate from Spotify. So, I wrote a tool call spotigrate 👉 https://codeberg.org/foxmean/spotigrate . I didn't write it from scratch but fork form TidalLister 👉 https://github.com/brandonjp/tidal-playlist-maker . However, I rewrite almost all on Spotify section to use simple request with API instead of web scrape with BeautifulSoup partly because Spotify only show 30 entities when you scrape by BS.

Spotigrate is by no mean perfect now. It's need API token and Spotify only let you request user created playlist.

I'm planing to publish this to PyPI for sure, but after I think its UX/UI is good enough. (not sure if it possible for regular user because the API token need). Any contribution is welcome. blobcat #spotify #tidal

Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek has raised €600M for his new startup, which is developing AI TECH FOR WAR. Ek still owns 9% of Spotify, but has 37% voting control. His net worth went from $2.5B to $10B in the last two years alone, on the back of paying musicians a pittance in royalties.

And don’t forget:

• Spotify spent $250M of your subscription dollars to invite Joe Rogan to spew his disinformation on their platform.
• They’re still trying to embrace and extinguish Podcasts.
• They’re developing in-house, AI-generated “music” so users will play them (royalty-free) instead of music created by humans (who demand royalty).

And now, he’s using his wealth, created by your subscriptions, to fund tech that will use AI to literally murder humans in war.

I'm going to try to wean my family off of the streaming services. #Spotify is the one that will get the most pushback, I suspect. I am trying out #Tidal, which I am told is moderately less evil (and pays artists more).

It does carry the important artists.
