I really have trouble dealing with mugs with multiple tea bags in them in my environment. Like two tea bags; okay I can suffer silently. Three or more? The entanglement of strings and the ratio of floating things to liquid just becomes intolerable and I am doing everyone a favor by removing myself from the scene.
@littlemiao Who puts three or more bags of tea in a mug? I had no idea this was a thing. If I put three or more bags of tea in anything it's going to be a bigger container like my French press to make more than just a mugful. Then again I prefer loose-leaf over bagged tea so there's that.
parton (n.): unit of measure for the extent to which a wealthy person uses that wealth to make the world a better place. Sadly, the milliparton and microparton are more commonly used. Note that negative values are frequently observed.
We're excited to announce an investment of over 500K Euro by @sovtechfund into Flatpak!
The focus of the project is on closing gaps in Flatpak’s sandboxing story: new portals for audio, networking, VPNs, and spell checking, as well as infrastructure work on entitlements and intents. We have a great team of community members on board, who will be working on this through the end of 2027.

Oh no, my demo board is growing legs. And wings. And a tail.
@jpm curiously, the flowerplot simply thought "oh, not again"
"Vaccine resisters should be thought of like drunken drivers: people who recklessly endanger innocent strangers.”
anyway the latest Ologies podcast is a two-parter about SKUNKS: https://www.alieward.com/ologies/mephitology 🦨
Featuring Dr. Jerry Dragoo of the Institute for the Betterment of Skunks and Skunk Reputations (https://dragoo.org/). He was unfazed the first time he was sprayed by a skunk, but "three days later, they wouldn't let me into the museum"—it turns out he has no sense of smell.
Picture 1: Nazi Germany, 1938. The Nazi party is assembled in Berlin and using their slogan "One people. One realm. One leader", contradicting the fact that Germany had Jewish, Polish, Danish and other minorities.
Picture 2: Trump's America, 2026. Trump's Department of labor uses the slogan "One Homeland. One People. One Heritage", contradicting the fact that the US has large Hispanic, African, Asian, Native American, and other minorities.
MAGA really is a Nazi equivalent movement.

Why buy scissors when teeth
@catsalad don't believe big wire stripper, teeth are all you need.
Just picked up half our straw for the year under an eclipsed moon. COOL. Managed 3 truckloads tonight, will have to get the rest tomorrow.
If the moon is up for you right now, go look at it! It's FREAKY.
@sundogplanets Currently a total eclipse of the sky here . . . (By clouds and, I think, from the sound, rain)
"Some initiatives...try to reduce barriers through...support, affordable prices, donations or flexible participation models. Still, inclusion does not happen automatically. Cost, time, ...childcare, transport...all shape who can participate. This is a key lesson for the...movement: alternatives are not enough if they remain socially narrow. Social justice must be built intentionally."

You guys the RDP (Remote Desktop) support they're working on in @kde just keeps getting better and better.
I now use it regularly when I want to run graphical apps remotely on my desktop but from my Mac laptop. The experience is so responsive that were it not for the aspect ratio translation (34" monitor to 16" laptop screen) I might never know.
SO much nicer than faffing around with waypipe!
@thomasfuchs Hey, why does everybody hate light mode? I use it in summer because I work during sunlight hours and and dark mode is hard to read in bright daylight.
@alpacamale Fwiw I prefer light mode almost always; I do like dark mode better on my phone though.
I could start a feed of stories about cops using Flock to stalk and terrorize current and former partners and I would never run out of material. https://www.404media.co/florida-deputy-of-the-year-used-flock-to-stalk-ex-held-gun-in-her-mouth-did-a-nazi-salute/
Not sure if I should go with "Surprise, Surprise, Surprise", or "Shocked! Shocked!"...
