How to Hold a Pencil
This is definitely true, and while the most prominent search engines have definitely contributed to their own enshittification, I’m not sure it wouldn’t have happened anyway.
There is more inequality and noise in bigger systems, and the web that Google crawls is orders of magnitude larger than before they removed “don’t be evil” from their self-proclaimed trajectory

The saddest bit in this story is all the disappeared/stolen/burned/lost books. I’ll have to read all of his other novels while waiting for the next in this series!
59 days after the elections, Denmark is still without a new government.
At first, the elected parties chose incumbent Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen to lead negotiations for a center left government. But a week ago, incumbent Foreign Minister Lars Løkke suddenly decided to attempt to form a government with the right wing. That failed.
So at 11 AM, all parties will visit King Frederik 10 who is hosting the ritual we call The King's Round, which will trigger a third round of negotiations.
Friends in Belgium told us that the times without a government weren't actually the worst times.

@catsalad one topic most people don’t feel comfortable to state that obesity is one of the largest risk factors, too. We need to stress this too, without shaming the people who are effected. Taxes need to be set in place and proper food & cooking needs to be addressed
To all the people who wrote "stay cool" in my middle school yearbook, I have some bad news.
Me: oh that looks like a bit of dried mud on the bath mat, I’ll kick it into the drain grate in the shower.
Also me: wait, dried mud isn’t that squishy and wobbly, was that poo because Bruce was at the vet all yesterday? Oh well, stinky shower for me.
Also also me: … it was a gummi bear rolled in dirt

@randahl are all options still anti immigrant? I ask partly as it affects the politics here too
@otfrom @randahl immigration didn't feature as much this election - focus was much more on regulating agriculture. The usual suspects on the right are still shouting about reducing the number of brown people, but it seems unlikely that they will have much of a say (if so, this second attempt shouldn't have failed). Of course, the social Democrats have also been tough on immigration lately. And it seems likely that they will lead whatever government we end up with.

Zu langwierig oder zu politisch explosiv? 😂
@TheBreadmonkey @catsalad @noondlyt You would certainly put the YAY in Ben-yay!
A kind person said to me this week words to the effect of "Neil, I love talking with you. You make chatting so easy!"
And now, dear reader, I - someone who is not a very people person - will share with you the two secrets of my critically acclaimed prowess:
1) "Oh {wow, cool,my,yes,no,oops, dear}, tell me more about that!"
2) Listening - genuinely listening - and asking questions.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
