I gave peanuts on a spot where I sometimes leave them when I spot the crows by the estuary. Ms Crow came down right away and landed right next to me, but then realized that this was "too close" and jumped a little further away until I put some distance between myself and the peanuts. ⤵️

@evan I said "very important" because I believe that understanding a "right name" is an important part of understanding the named thing. My exception, and not enough to change my vote to "somewhat important," is cats which have a right name, and many silly nicknames, and it's okay to call them by any of those. My sister's cat is silly nicknamed "Serves Twelve" at this moment and her "right name" is Miss Woo.

do you have a copy or scan of 321 contact magazine from september 1988? it had a BASIC game called Animal. i don't see that particular month on archive dot org. if you have it, i would be really happy to see it. i'm pretty sure it was the first computer program i typed in line by line and ran. it would be near the end of the magazine and look something like these. these simple programs were submitted by kids for kids.
