4.3- Pump your abs challenge - Week 4-3 - Friday
Me and my partner are gay and I've found that our gay friends I demo my apps too are way more vocal about feedback.
They don't hold back 🤣
Make sure your pool of alpha/beta testers are diverse, you won't regret it lmao
like simmer down TMZ, nobody cares about that, and then I suddenly care about that.
It be your own people sometimes, smh 😂
And another item crossed off my bucket list, giving the statue of a childhood hero a hug!
(If you dont know who I'm hugging there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Sendung_mit_der_Maus)
Every Friday Stretch - Episode 1 - Back with a twist
I have decided to shut down my #mastodon instance, and all my public facing web services.
This will happen in 3 months time, on November 29, 2026, to allow everyone to backup and migrate.
The reason for this is that I can no longer trust:
- the #Linux kernel
- #Debian
- rails
- most #Foss projects
Additionally, I'm basically out of storage, it is unaffordable to purchase more, and no one is interested in donating to help.
Our bastion of free computing has been poisoned by fascist gen ai slop, and basically NONE of it can be trusted anymore.
It's impossible to vet slop from an ecosystem that is welcoming of it.
This makes it nearly impossible to update my systems, which makes it harder to pretend it's even remotely secure.
I'm fucking devestated - gutted by what has happened to computing, and I just do not have the resources to keep fighting.
Fuck all you #LLM boosters into the sun. May you learn the folly of your way and DO SOMETHING TO FIX IT!
Happy Skynet Day for those who self-aware.

More broadly... We're still in the infancy of bots on social media and dating sites. These ones are obvious, but there are more sophisticated ones out there, and they will become less detectable with time. I dunno whether The Apps will disappear entirely, but I do suspect in ~5 years it'll be routine to ignore anyone who won't meet in person, or who I can't verify through mutual acquaintances.
Probably 90% of woof.group's signup requests are bots now, BTW.
So, Debian has fallen, thanks to the (infiltration of?) tech bro supporters. What a truly sad day. How did this happen?
The "social contract" has now been compromised IMHO: It allows for contributing to the destruction of life on our planet as we know it, is generally OK with copyright theft and copyleft whitewashing, and will contribute to the slop-to-code ratio on the interwebs. I would never have imagined this. The social contract felt safe...
I've been most exclusively using Debian from 1998-2016 and considered become a -developer a couple of times.

“Captitalism won!!” he typed on his laptop made in a communist country with components from another communist country
@thomasfuchs Well they declare themselves as communists, but their economy is hard-core capitalist.
They basically don't have unions and work laws definitely not as worker oriented as in the West.
aggiornamento situazione noblogs.org / updates about noblogs.org
[IT]
This is the new Pixelfed. Not a redesign, a rebuild.
