For mental health reasons I’m going to try staying off basically all screens for longer intervals during the day, maybe even days, which means I will miss some things, which I don’t like, almost as much as I don’t like sentences with too few commas, really the more the merrier, so on that note if you all could just move to Eugene, Oregon, and come hang out with me in person, that’d really help me out. @thomasfuchs LLM's are less like artificial brains and more like the theorem about "An Infinite Number of Monkeys on an Infinite Number of Typewriters" and I don't mean that as a pejorative.
@oshox it can be useful if you have a way to verify the output (which is possible for formal languages like in programming), but for most stuff it’s just meh at best

I really do think the second they introduce such tablets (or onto existing tablets, since some prisons are already using them to better control and filter access to the outside world) "behavior" as measured by the wardens would dramatically improve. Meanwhile it's an addiction they control.

Related to accessible gaming, it definitely bothers me a little how overloaded the term “accessible” is, especially in blindness spaces. “Accessible gaming” does not solely mean “blind accessible”, yet the Accessible Gaming wiki is basically blind central. Blind people have dramatically different needs, and “accessible” means many different things. There’s a whole hodgepodge of other disabilities that fall under needing accessibility, but many in the blindness community seem to just equate accessible with “works with screen readers”. I understand using the terminology in everyday conversation but declaring a game “accessible” is a lot more loaded than you might think.
Certainly if you're trapped in solitary with a shitty airport paperback every week for intellectual stimulation, a tablet with an LLM that will chat with you about subjects you want to learn would be fucking mana from heaven. You would accept the more invasive/intimate control implicit in it.
