What I want is a reflective LCD.
Well no. What I want is the Sharp Memory display that was used in the OLPC, but barring that I want a reflective LCD of between 7 and 12 inches that I can drive from an ESP32-s3 and a keyboard.
That's pretty much it.
@ajroach42 Someone I know has built out most of the parts list for a computer they're pretty sure would run effectively forever. Some exotic display that sips power (can't remember whether it was persistent or just really low draw), basically a processor that would wake on a keypress interrupt, do its processing, and then to back to sleep, a small battery, and then probably a small solar panel a la solar calculators (though an RTG was raised as a possibility). Would be a heck of a project.
