Gonna make some stickers out of this.
I've always been a bit sceptical of some of the politics around 'fatness' etc, but there's definitely something to the idea that the concept of an ideal body has an overlap with fascism

An interesting and very Australian take on the current economic scrap going on across the 49th parallel. I still don't understand why people are accepting the premise of the question and imposing reciprocal tarrifs. Those only hurt your own people. Anyway, an interesting read.

@quixoticgeek yeah I would have thought an export duty on fossil fuels would have been the way to hit back... But of course that's a lobby the government can't stand up to

While most of the western world was rapidly embracing television broadcasting by the 1940s and especially the 1950s, the Republic of South Africa did not launch a television service until ... 1976! The main reason, essentially, was racism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bLdxlShwc8
How have we been maneuvered into a place where the only political argument being played out is ‘who can tax the least’, unaccompanied by ANY rational discussion about a) drops in public services like health and b) evidence that less tax=productivity growth.
If you live outside of the United States,
do you know if your country has a plan if the US government decided to cut access to Google, Microsoft, and Amazon products overnight?
What would happen to your work?
What would happen to your hospitals?
What would happen to your emergency services?
What would happen to your banks?
Imagine overnight, for all those public services and private businesses, no more Windows, no more AWS, no more Google and Microsoft office software, no more remote files storage, no more emails, no more online maps, no more videochats.
What would happen?
Is your country prepared?
@Em0nM4stodon Hmm, interesting concept. Would the companies actually follow such a command? Because, they would lose all that revenue. Interesting.

For anybody the media covering the privacy beat, you might want to have a look at the Take2 court orders to Microsoft over the Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks. There’s a big story.

The U.S. is using Musk's social media platform to support the far-right candidate for Brazil's presidency, Flávio Bolsonaro.
The former Twitter is deleting “likes” on posts critical of Flávio Bolsonaro.
@Persona people who stayed on twitter are naive
