however, i still can't fully wrap my head around how it works, so quite often i just place cylinders/spheres at the corners and wrap them in `hull` 🙃

also FreeCAD supports OpenSCAD, so you can mix the two (the main design is in OpenSCAD and then a few edits on top in FreeCAD) but i never tried it myself. i got it as advice from a FreeCAD maintainer at FOSDEM.
