@travisfw I love the Easter egg idea where you're basically looking at a big pile of tape on the floor cuz I've done that in the past way back in the day. I love that. Yeah that might actually be. It might actually be possible. I have to think about it.

With the hot, dry summer, I’ve spent more time watering flowers and plants than taking time to enjoy them. That kinda makes me sad, but hopefully I can enjoy them a little more as summer begins to fade and watering chores ease up.

I'm posting here what I had written to a news outlet in April during the whole Mythos hype 🙄 and people keep on being like BUT why are you not making CLEAR arguments against Bla BLa Bla? Cause I'm learning that its a trap to make me waste my time debunking claims while they get trillions to implement their dystopian future and we're stuck talking about whatever they're doing rather than implementing our visions. 🧵

(Is there anyone with pica who considers the generally-non-food things they eat "food" or "palatable"? Or do they all just think of it as just a thing to chew on, like a pencil.)
@gaditb @Satsuma @wallhackio @Lady Like I would consider food coloring edible but not food, I just don't think it has noteworthy nutrients (although maybe it often has some sort of solvent that does?). Guar gum, maybe? Olestra?

@RickiTarr My dad graduated from high school, the extent of his education. He was--like me--a practicing and well-functioning alcoholic.
He knew Fitzgerald's "translation" of Omar Khayyam's "Rubaiyat" by heart. We would go fishing w/a camper, and after we ran the (illegal) trot-lines, we'd swing a coleman lantern up in a tree, and talk--mostly argument, which he loved--and drink, and play chess.
And he would recite his favorite quatrains from the Rubaiyat.
As you can imagine, I adored him.

He needed dialysis and went through the Mayo Clinic, so even back in the 80s he was able to have a dialysis machine at home. She thought it was super cool, kinda like Young Frankenstein lmao. Then she says, "Yeah, my favorite memory of Grandpa Chuck, though his name was James, was when we would be in his 75 Chevy and he'd teach me to roll cigarettes. I was like 8."
