Low, late afternoon sunlight makes the curving rails in a train station shine bright against the dark track bed while on the curved platform the dark figure of a lone man can be seen walking next to a train waiting to depart. At the end of the platform is a large signal post on which there are two red lights.

A man walking into a shaft of bright sunlight under a railway bridge casts his shadow into the gap of light created against the tiled wall, which is covered in graffiti, and his reflection can be seen in the rainwater puddle that has formed against the kerb of the footpath.

Raindrops collected on the roof of a parked car add an interesting texture to the abstract reflection of nearby buildings that can be seen in the shiny metalwork

The "Space Whale" by Matt Schultz was originally at the 2016 Burning Man event on the Black Rock Playa north of Reno, Nevada. It is a full scale stained glass humpback whale mother and her calf. In this photo it is at its permanent location in the plaza in front of Reno City Hall.
