Had a seizure yesterday while checking my TL, and haven't been able to do anything all day due to how exhausting tonic clonic seizures are.

@Techaltar not an specialist in the mechanics, but afaik it's basically the same engine with some changes to other parts to withstand the higher combustion temperature and corrosion. The breakthrough was some software that allows the car to assess the mixture from the combustion products and adjusts the mixture to compensate. Other relevant thing is that a small percentage of ethanol has been mandatory also since the oil crisis to buffer the price. 1/2

I stopped reading #TheGuardian sadly some time ago, as the only way to continue was to consent with sharing with 139 'partners' in the cookie dialog, and I am not up for buying a subscription and go "Ad-lite" 🤢 (lack the money anyway).

Nice #newspaper selling people's news browsing habits to commercial parties. Well, newspapers got it tough, but still.

@allancavanagh this happens a lot in towns dominated by a university. The reputation comes from the stuff derived from students and the university, but they tend not to be the ones driving local politics.
