And then Yesterday we went to some antique stores that have opened recently and some that have been around for a while.
I got a thing there I'll talk about later, but first I want to talk about Antique Malls in general.
Opening week, or maybe the week after, is a great time to visit an antique store because they're going to have had months or years to pick inventory that will sell out in three weeks.
And, if they're experienced, they have more inventory sitting in the wings waiting to replace it, but a lot of times they don't. After the first month or so that the shop has been opened, it's often pretty picked over and it takes a good long while for most new antique store operators to figure out how to balance the needs of picking against operating the business.
