A bit late to the party but finally we hear from our teacher union. Sending sick children to school doesn't improve your attendance rate, it increases your number of sick children and staff. The Ministry of Education is well aware of this yet they still push for 100% attendance. Some schools even offer incentives for teachers and students. It's absolutely nonsensical and it has to stop!
Instead of attendance pressure we need #CleanAir in schools and workplaces, and public health messages on the spread of airborne illnesses. We know all this, we have all the tools! We need government action now!

Because I live in a very low income neighborhood some of the groceries here get a lot of "seconds" this is stuff that didn't sell at the more upscale stores. A good portion of their stock is always kind of random. How do you price fancy canned wax beans with one more month to the sell by date for people who don't want them?
