A bit late to the party but finally we hear from our teacher union. Sending sick children to school doesn't improve your attendance rate, it increases your number of sick children and staff. The Ministry of Education is well aware of this yet they still push for 100% attendance. Some schools even offer incentives for teachers and students. It's absolutely nonsensical and it has to stop!
Instead of attendance pressure we need #CleanAir in schools and workplaces, and public health messages on the spread of airborne illnesses. We know all this, we have all the tools! We need government action now!

If you are sick and have to go out or have to go to work, please wear a mask to protect your co-workers and fellow commuters. If you can afford it, wear a good mask (N95).
