I still have a and account for oslo.town and sometimes log in to see if I can lure people away and over to . 🥷

Some people I follow from Instagram, seem to have enabled the option to "Also share on..." Threads. 🤔

I saw this because they're sharing their personal photos of their kids and holidays and stuff on Insta and it cross-posts to Threads, publicly. 😵‍💫

I wonder if they know...

Suomalaisten Threads on ihan kaaos nykyään. Threadsin käyttäjämäärän nousu näkyy (käyttäjiä saman verran tai enemmän kuin X:ssä). Paikasta on tullut "julkinen Facebook". Postausten seuraaminen herättää monenlaisia tunteita huvittuneisuudesta suruun ja aina ärsytykseen saakka.

- 40-60v lähmäsetä kommentoi "kaunis oot" tai "lähdetkö treffeille" joka naisen postaukseen riippumatta onko botti vai aito
- sekava kännipostaus nousee koko kansan somefeediin
- reijat ja raijat sanomassa miten asiat on ja piste
- kaikki on pakko väärinymmärtää

Muutama lisähuomio:

- Toisinaan Threadsia käytetään kuin Instagramia, jokaisessa postauksessa on selfie, kuva tai video, eikä vastauksia juuri lueta
- Moni käyttää Threadsia kuin Tinderiä, puhtaasti seuranhakuun
- Jokaisessa aihetunnisteessa pitää jostain syystä olla mukana sana "threads", esim. sinkkuthreads, tekoälythreads, juoksuthreads...
- Kaikki kuvittelee, että algoritmia voi itse kouluttaa haluamakseen
- Kullikollarikeskiviikko (miehet postaavat kuvia kollareissa niin että letkut pullottaa) ja kirsikkakeskiviikko (naiset postaavat kuvia rintavaoistaan) trendaavat viikoittain
- Jengi postaa edelleen paljon baitteja, eli turhia kysymyksiä kuten "Mikä on sun mielipide asiasta X?" ilman omaa mielipidettä tai löyhin ajanvieteperustein, johon ihmiset sitten sankoin joukoin vastaavat vailla minkäänlaista suuntaa

Meinen letzten Beitrag habe ich unverändert auch auf Threads veröffentlicht. Mit Ausnahme weniger konstruktiver Rückmeldungen ergoss sich dort eine Welle an Nachrichten über mich, die den Vorfall relativierten, rechte Sichtbarkeit verharmlosten, in teils absurdes Grünen-Bashing abglitten oder sich in direkten Beleidigungen erschöpften – bislang über 275 an der Zahl. Es scheint, als sei #Threads für eine ernsthafte öffentliche Debatte mittlerweile verloren. 😞

Oh, and no, BlueSky doesn't count as an alternative, because it's just as much a walled-garden again.

What is needed of an alternative is that it's open and free, and allows everyone to write their own software to communicate with everyone else. The ActivityPub standard (which underlies the Fediverse) is currently the best and most widely adopted we have, and it's crucial that the networks you use implement that standard properly, i.e. by allowing federation by default in principle, unless there's reason to block specific servers.

@ricmac It's hilarious how Mosseri has convinced #Threads users that the reason links are suppressed is because people don't do the thing that people have been doing since the beginning of the World Wide Web- click links.

Definitely not because Meta wants you trapped in its platforms. It's your fault, you see.

#Zuckerberg profetizza un futuro che fa venire i brividi… Un mondo dove chi non indossa occhiali con intelligenza artificiale sarà cognitivamente inferiore agli altri.
È #Meta (quella di #Threads) stessa che sta creando un mondo dove chi non ha i suoi dispositivi diventa automaticamente inferiore agli altri. Un assistente AI integrato nella vita quotidiana che vede quello che vediamo e sente quello che ascoltiamo.
