I know a lot of people were upset / disappointed by the recent @Blender Anthropic collaboration announcement. It's good to hear that the org listened to the community and scaled back away from their previous partnership arrangement. I'm sure lots of people will still be disappointed and for some it won't be enough, but in many ways it's also refreshing to have an organization listen to such feedback.

Am I the only person who, after 30 years of using `/bin/ln`, *still* gets its arguments backwards?
If I type:
$ ln -s x y
My mind is always thinking: “I want a symlink where x ⇒ y”, and as such I incorrectly put the destination *before* the source.
I am sure `ln` is this way in #POSIX to match the behavior of `cp` & `mv`. The latter two are intuitive to me because I read it as “copy/move x to y”.
$ ls -l y
lrwxrwxrwx 1 bkuhn bkuhn 1 May 2 14:39 y -> x
“y ⇒ x” … See!?!?!

Male fragrance sections at shops are always so sad. Would you like to smell like you just downed a bottle of gin, like a leather couch, or like you were sitting on the wrong side of a campfire? Women get all the nice fruits and flowers. This stuff shouldn’t be gendered anyway like most things.
@Gargron I have been saying: Women’s shampoos are “peach” and “rose”, men’s shampoos are “tires” and “punch in the face”.

To echo some chatter I've been seeing: I encourage you to explore the broader diversity of art out there, beyond what you see in pop culture!
It takes a willingness to explore, but you may find something truly special out of it! Something which resonates uniquely you. The Red Panda swears it!
That's why I comment on what I'm (re)listening to, I want to check these shows out.
P.S. I see some hints that this chatter's prompted in part by the new Harry Potter show. Meh.

Je reprends l'envie de coder des trucs à la volée pour du perso. Ça n'est pas la même chose, mais désormais je me perds beaucoup moins dans des choses que je ne finis jamais. J'ai du résultat, rapide, et ca ne coûte pas énorme de tout changer en permanence.
@quixoticgeek The one piece of sewing I was particularly proud of was on a silk tie. Tension had to be bang on. I did a lovely job, until I realised my trousers were involved.
@_thegeoff normally I sew things to my skirt. Have done that far too often.
