@golemwire ActivityPub has two main parts; a social API and a federation protocol. All of these platforms support the protocol but not the API (at least, not in read-write form).

Bin als Selbständige bei verdi - und aus der Perspektive kann ich sagen: Der Eindruck, die würden nichts tun, kommt oft daher, dass man sich selbst zu wenig kümmert. Verdi bietet z. B. tolle Seminare an. Man muss aber wenigstens mal die Mitteilungen lesen, um die zu finden. ^^
“Don’t do nonviolent resistance to a genocide because it can be dangerous” should always be complemented by “don’t do a genocide because it is an illegal war crime”.
But we are in the free Europe enjoying mature democracies, and when this doesn’t happen we have the power and the right to ask safety-concerned warnings also for war criminals, and not just for European pacifists.

@andnull it’s unfortunate that every “C++ successor” language has the same flaw as C++, where it’s too hard to write an FFI in the other direction. I remember when I first started messing with native codegen in Factor, I had a simple FFI that could call SDL and put pixels on the screen even before I had the rest of the compiler. Wrapping objc_msgSend was really easy as well, and that gave you all of Cocoa back then without having to write any more wrappers
@slava @andnull I see the fundamental problem in a neglect of the integration domain (see this paper by @stephenrkell: https://doi.org/10.1145/1639950.1640051).
In a better world, every programming language would plug into an infrastructure for polyglot software assemblies. Since that infrastructure doesn't exist, PL implementers make minimal replacements according to their perceived needs.
I have not seen this particular phishing campaign before.
(If it is genuine, then it looks like I will have to fire myself for underperformance. Which would be sad.)
@neil it looks the sort of thing our cybersec team use when they're running one of their periodic "don't click on links you're not expecting" campaigns.
If they've achieved one useful thing, it's that they've conditioned us to be suspicious of emails about pay and performance 🤣
