Hello, new #FediMeteo friends!
As the great @FediFollows@social.growyourown.services posted about this service, many of you started following me and the cities. And I'm so glad about it!
If you want to know something more about FediMeteo and its story (and how all this is still working on a 4 euro/month VPS powered by #FreeBSD), you can have a look here:

KDE Plasma, looking at the already well-supported serialization format provided by DBus, decides to some weird byte serialization format instead. I wonder if this is a QT thing? Looks like some kind of custom dictionary serialization with UTF-16 strings -- [type, length, key, value-as-2-byte-int] ?
Trying to find out what component of KDE produces this... lol
omg I think this is a serialized dbus variant but ... stored as a byte array instead of as a variant.
I do like some plot, some action, not just wallpaper
Although, years ago I read an Arthur C. Clarke novel that I found mesmerizing for like 80 pages, then something finally happened and it went downhill
As I recall, it was world building with history setting the scene for the short story at the end
It might have just been right time, right mood for me to read the book
It’s just going to be wide open, unapologetic bigotry from here on out.

Every journalist hit with a stinger grenade or pepper ball by law enforcement while covering a protest is a message from the government: Stop showing the truth.
Journalists must speak out.

US Treasury Secretary Bessent: the US will have a low inflationary growth, and inflation is going to roll next year.
He adds: Substantial tax refunds coming in Q1 2026.
Earlier today Trump also said: I believe in the near future you won't have income tax to pay.
@matuzo Happy to be a part of your excellent project!
So you plan to thaw out your 20 kg solid block of frozen tofurkey in the microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds.

@karchie
See the thing about it is that I am right though.
Remember how people go on about how the UK is slowly becoming a fascist country?

Yes, goodbye Jury Nullification.
I was a juror. The person who was on trial would probably end up in prison if not for the jury system. I was about 75% sure that the defendent was technically guilty of the crime, but I pushed for notguilty and that person is free today. Because the law as it was applied was, I believe, unjust in that specific case.
Anyway, fuck the Labour Party. Good day.
@libreleah I’ve been on two juries. One of which voted to convict, and it was correct, one to acquit which was regretted by everyone as the uncertainty over injuries and time (an older injury which may or may not have resulted in long term damage). But everyone took both seriously and in context.
