@jonny the way you may be right and I (and lots of other people) wrong is my/their superficial knowledge of music made after, say, 1996. I’ll absolutely buy that with the context of all the musicians who were influenced by peak FM and everyone else and then built on the best parts, going back to 1977 is underwhelming. My ears and brain won’t ever hear it that way.
