@tommi ah. I like NextCloud very much but EcoHosting is the place that's hosting my Nextcloud and it just keeps going down or stopping me being able to access my stuff.
Did you eventually get what you need with this? I installed and admin TIB’s NextCloud server using Yunohost, hosted on Hetzner.

BREAKING: Mapquest now includes a layer showing known Flock and other surveillance cameras!
You used to rely on MapQuest for printing out driving directions before GPS navigation was a thing. Now it's helping to fight mass surveillance. https://this.weekinsecurity.com/mapquest-now-lets-you-locate-nearby-surveillance-cameras-like-flock/
@zackwhittaker That's pretty big. They aren't a mainstream app anymore, but they certainly have the name recognition (as the dated maps app, unfortunately...).
Das wird ganz superspitzenmäßig - mal wieder...
@rwaschbaer
Wie lange wird es dauernd bis @Lilith oder andere das kaputt machen? (Ich frage nicht ob,nur wie lange)
@brewsterkahle @internetarchive I built one of those! My stage is a CNC router, my camera is a Raspberry Pi strapped to a surplus telecentric lens.
nice going! my hat is off to the camera sensor guys. stunning.

@WizardOfDocs some friends on Discord were recently talking about "which is older: magical girl or isekai", and my takeaway from reading that conversation was "it's hard to know which stories are older when they come from a time of oral tradition rather than being written down". This group maybe has loser genre definitions than the norm, but they did point to an isekai in Gilgamesh.
@3geek14 Portal fantasy is older than writing. I think isekai is a more specific genre.
Also Perseus was a magical girl if we don't actually care about gender. Actually normalizing women as divinely empowered protagonists is much more recent, but still older than Isekai As Distinct From Other Kinds of Portal Fantasy.

Balance is like a gyroscope. It's not something to be achieved, but a constant evolution. Adjust as needed.

Mentaal.nl is a portal being co-designed by thirteen patient and family non-profit organisations in Dutch mental health care. They’re piloting Bonfire as the infrastructure for their federated archipelago: a network of connected spaces built around clear, safe boundaries, where patients, caregivers, families and professionals can each find their place.
We’re excited to be part of this, and we’ll be sharing what we learn and build along the way 🔥

99 million years ago, the #extinct #cicada species #Cretodorus #noonoo became trapped in a drop of tree resin, which preserved it as #amber #fossil in excellent condition. A notable feature is its extremely long, flexible #proboscis, distinct from the piercing #mouthparts of modern species. D. Fabrikant et al. (2026) suggest that this allowed the #insect to #flexibly probe crevices and cracks in search of food.

The thing I'm most proud of from this paper: the co-authors include 5 students I directly supervised for undergrad research projects and 2 I supervised for grad research projects. Not bad for a professor at a university with no astronomy major!
Bitte.
