OMG I need someone to help me set up my own server for NextCloud (& a media server tbh) because I cannot deal with EcoHosting regularly just stopping working and me not being able to access my files.

@alexisbushnell I suggest you to go with https://opencloud.eu. It is 10× lighter and super simple to installato following the documentation. Not sure I can help with details but feel free to ping me!

@tommi is that instead of NextCloud or instead of EcoHosting?
@alexisbushnell Sorry instead of Nextcloud. No idea what EcoHosting is

@tommi ah. I like NextCloud very much but EcoHosting is the place that's hosting my Nextcloud and it just keeps going down or stopping me being able to access my stuff.
Did you eventually get what you need with this? I installed and admin TIB’s NextCloud server using Yunohost, hosted on Hetzner.

@alexisbushnell nextcloud via docker isn't too bad. Pretty sure I borked my install by just chosing sqlite, also didn't do a great backup job. Still have all the data, and honestly I'd still recommend it
